I think this might be the best way to remove those old kernel versions that just clutter up the Grub menu: from tuxtweaks. This is just a friendly reminder for myself next time I need this.
On a related matter, damn I hate www proxies! Eclipse updates and plug-in installation doesn't work at all. I have an earlier blog post about this issue, but this solution didn't help me last week. CDT just won't install on top of the platform Eclipse available in the Ubuntu package repository because it lacks an endless number of dependencies if you try it from a local archive file. So I had to download the CDT version manually. Thankfully PyDev doesn't have any pesky dependencies, so I was able to install that on top of the CDT version no problem.
